Youth CAN does not support "clean coal" as an energy alternative.  For information challenging the usage of 'clean coal' go to Thisisreality.org  to access a site addressing the issue.  The site points out:

a.) that there is an utter lack of 'clean coal' electricity plants in America thus far

b.) that in order to really be 'clean', coal plants would need to do more than just CCS (e.g. they would need to control the emission of other pollutants and end the practice of mountain top removal, etc.)

c.) the worth of investing heavily in 'clean coal technologies' is an unsatisfactory option given that alternative solutions like wind currently provide a much greater return in job creation, etc.

The section of the site with the 'reality fly by' is perhaps the most ingenious--the canary's struggle is strangely compelling, and it certainly brings the 'facts' home with an impact. The section about the 'details behind the facts' is also quite good with basic information every U.S. citizen should know.
